A WORD FROM THE PEMBROKE TEAM

In this issue of Perspectives, we are happy to bring you the second of a two-part series of articles on incorporation. In the first instalment, we discussed incorporating your business or professional practice. In this second part, Stephanie Pantaleo talks about the taxation of investment income within a corporation.

Our feature article discusses Pembroke’s gradual evolution over time. As many of you know, Pembroke’s history dates back to 1968, when it was founded with a focus on investing in smaller US and Canadian growth companies. Since then, Pembroke has evolved into a full-service wealth management firm.

Also in this issue is a new article in the On the Road series about our visit to Core & Main’s headquarters and our view of the company’s future prospects.

Lastly, we are pleased to announce that Caroline Taylor, CIM®, FCSI®, has been appointed as the Chief Compliance Officer of Pembroke Management, succeeding Michael McLaughlin.

Sincerely,

The Pembroke Team

Pembroke Management – Caroline Taylor Appointed Chief Compliance Officer

We are pleased to announce that Caroline Taylor, CIM® FCSI®, has been appointed as the Chief Compliance Officer of Pembroke Management, succeeding Michael McLaughlin who has served in the role since 1988.

Caroline has been an integral part of Pembroke’s compliance team since 2016, already serving as the Chief Compliance Officer of Pembroke Private Wealth. Her extensive experience has been instrumental in allowing Pembroke to navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Michael McLaughlin has been a key contributor to our firm’s success and reputation for high ethical standards. Although he is stepping down as Chief Compliance Officer of Pembroke Management, Mike continues as an advisor to the firm, supporting both Caroline Taylor and Anthony Calzetta.

Caroline officially began her new role in July and is committed to maintaining our tradition of excellence.

Please join us in celebrating this leadership transition!
