During this interview on April 10, 2025, on RDI’s Zone Économie (Radio-Canada), Nicolas Chevalier, from Pembroke, analyzed the impact of the war in Iran on the financial markets and the U.S. economy (in French only).
He focused, in particular, on the issue of safe-haven assets which, on the surface, have not reacted as expected during the conflict. Gold, consumer-related stocks and defence companies experienced declines when one would have expected the opposite.
