Ian Aitken is a seasoned investment professional with over 35 years of experience in public equity and wealth management. Early in his career, he was fortunate to work alongside three of Pembroke’s founding partners, an experience that deeply shaped his long-term investment philosophy as well as his collaborative leadership style. Known for his realistic optimism, action-oriented leadership, and belief in innovation and alignment, Ian has helped guide Pembroke’s transformation through decades of market change.

From 2000 through 2023, he served as Managing Partner, helping lead the firm’s growth and evolution in serving high-net-worth families, foundations and institutions. As Vice Chair, he now focuses on mentoring the next generation of leadership and deepening Pembroke’s long-term client relationships. Ian is committed to stewardship, values-based decision-making, and the belief that aligned interests create enduring value.

A dedicated advocate for education and entrepreneurship, Ian also contributes actively to several charitable boards, bringing to every engagement a deep sense of purpose and service.
