Pembroke and Canada Gives – Investing for a Cause

As the wealth management advisor to our clients for over 50 years, the Pembroke team recognizes the important role philanthropy plays for many of them and their families.

Over the decades, we have worked together with our clients to meet their short-term charitable wishes, facilitating impactful gifts to the organizations that matter most to them. We can now assist you to easily create a long-term legacy of charitable giving.

We are pleased to announce that Pembroke has partnered with Canada Gives to offer a simple and efficient way for you to create your own foundation. This allows you to fund your future charitable capital today, in a tax-efficient and time-efficient manner.

Canada Gives is a registered charity that helps philanthropists build high-impact foundations.  Such foundations will represent our client’s unique philanthropic objectives and produce long-term charitable results.

Since its inception in 2005, Canada Gives has been providing customized foundation accounts (also known as Donor Advised Funds or DAFs) and a proprietary Foundation Administrative Platform to allow philanthropists and their families to fund their preferred charities with flexibility and ease.

This partnership provides you with a continued oversight of your foundation’s invested assets by Pembroke, as well as guidance and administration by Canada Gives. This allows you to craft a foundation that will support the causes important to you.

For more information on how you can establish a donor-advised fund, please contact your Pembroke representative.
